Steve worked with the local council and conservation officers to specify appropriate materials and manage the repair of this listed church in Wetherby, West Yorkshire. The project successfully addressed water ingress caused by damaged pointing and deteriorated stone. A carefully considered approach, supported by detailed documentation, recording and analysis, provide the information needed to prepare the appropriate schedule of works.
From these initial floor plan sketches measurements and areas of defect can be quickly highlighted. This rough sketch can provide information about the plan form and any important areas to address before the next stages can begin
This farm lean to outbuilding made up part of the listed curtilage of the main house. Understanding its significance was a critical component in the planning application to adapt this into viable use. This meant delivering a heritage impact statement, including a structural survey and a schedule of works in accordance with Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
